A little about us

Appalachian Architecture, P.A. is a full service commercial and residential architectural firm located in downtown Boone, N.C. We are licensed by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Boone Chamber of Commerce.

Our goal for our clients is to take their vision, and with our experience and knowledge, develop a design that not only blends into the selected site, but is also code compliant, functional, affordable and aesthetically pleasing. We can take a project from concept, through design development, to a complete set of detailed construction documents. We also offer master planning and project feasibility studies.

  • In our experience, Bill Dixon and his staff have the ability to translate the preferences of the client into a finished product that exceeds expectations.

Bob Washburn — President, AF Financial Group
  • Mr. Dixon and his firm handled our project and its many issues promptly and effectively, and to our satisfaction. We were especially pleased in his coordinating of the various factors and concerns during this lengthy project.

Judd F. Allen — Allen Wealth Management
  • "I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the job you did on the house we all just finished. You have a great eye for design and detail and we are thrilled with the end result.
